ABOUT FOUNDER'S LIFE & MISSION

OUR FOUNDER

Founder Paul Francis

Late Mr. Paul Francis was born on Nov 9th, 1936 in Addah Sial kot. He was a Roman Catholic and had his initial studies from St. Mary’s Convent School Addah. After completing his metric he went to different private and governmental sectors for his living.

Since 1980s he was a motivational leader inspiring hundred and thousands of families through his teaching as well as technical skills. He was the principal of St. Andrew’s Primary School Kharotta Abad Quetta, Balochistan. He was a good English language teacher and writer. He was the first president from 1993 to 2000 for Christian Welfare Society Bashir Abad Nawa Kili Quetta. He was also elected as president from 1993 to 2009 to Parish Pastoral Council Bashir Abad Quetta. He was the elder brother of Late Bishop Andrew Francis Bishop of Multan and father to Rev. Fr. Cecil Paul OMI. He was also the man who laid the foundation for St. Peter & Paul Church Bashir Abad in year 1993. Mr. Paul Francis was a man of service for his community using his pension money to establish Padray Pio Funeral Box Scheme for his people.  He was the first chairman who intervened for the Tube well for Bashir Abad Christian Colony in 1994. Besides that he motivated his people and got approval for the present Girls Middle School in Basir Abad Christian Colony. Since he was man of principal and prayer therefore he was also chosen as the president for a prayer group at St. Peter & Paul’s Church Bashirabad Quetta. He received several awards from the government as well as from the Church for his self-less services for this community. After his commendable services and love for his community slept in the Lord on April 19th, 2022.

After the death of Mr. Paul Francis in Quetta, Pakistan. His younger brother Joe Francis in order to give helping hand to his mission and vision came into the realm to up lift the community. Joe Francis also studied from same St. Mary’s High School Addah Sialkot. After his metric he went to East Pakistan to earn his living. However East Pakistan got separated from West Pakistan he flew to USA and started his new life for more than 10 years. Later he migrated to Australia where he is still in good health and trying his very best to support the downtrodden and marginalized of our society.

The mission encapsulates the core purpose of our Helpway Educational & Welfare Society, while the vision lays out the broader aspirations and future impact it seeks to achieve.
